Expanding Communal Areas
We have added more indoor and outdoor communal spaces, such as a sun parlor in the Opua House and tables outside

Our Response:
As Hawaii has been affected by the economic impact of COVID-19, we have taken this opportunity to place the highest emphasis on the safety, security, and serenity of our guests, community, and Hawai’i as a whole. We have been working tirelessly to ensure that our cleanliness procedures become a core part of our daily operations.
We are a safe haven where you can experience holistic healthy living and wellbeing. On the North Shore, we are blessed with trade-winds, so we have no need for air-conditioners, which trap dust and airborne pathogens. Our water is provided by a well with the most delicious alkaline water from the volcanic aquifer. Our organic garden provides greens for your super smoothies and our coconut kefir will enhance your immune system.
Unlike at typical hotels, you won’t have to fear close contact with other people on our expansive property. However, unlike at typical homestays, we are a licensed, insured, and permitted facility that complies with local, county, state, and federal regulations. Our agricultural land is vast, remote, and features many outdoor places where nature rules.
We are taking measures to ensure that your stay is comfortable and squeaky clean! On top of traditional cleaning procedures, we also clean each room with commercial Ozonator machines and essential oils. We’ve also increased our cleaning protocol to 3 times a day across communal areas. The first cleaning will be a deep clean and the second and third will focus on high touchpoints. Hand sanitizer is available to guests in common areas. The safety of our guests and community has, and always will be, our top priority.
We are a licensed bed and breakfast staffed by our family and local community. While we don’t wear face masks around each other because we safely live together on the property, we will wear face masks when interacting with guests and exercise social distancing. For example, our check-in is social-distanced because we enjoy being able to welcome guests, show them around our beautiful property, and explain how to navigate a totally sustainable land. We do not require that guests wear face masks around the property, but ask that you do when out exploring and interacting with other guests. We would appreciate it if you could bring your own face mask!
